Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

Al very common condition, excessive sweating under the arms (hyperhidrosis) is inconvenient for those affected. Excessive sweating can be treated with a local injection of botulinum toxin or by sucking out the sweat glands.

Botulinum toxin (Botox)

Botulinum toxin offers a good non-surgical solution to excessive sweating. The advantage of treating excessive sweating with botulinum toxin is that the procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis. However, the treatment must be reapplied every six to nine months when used against sweating.

Sweat gland removal

One surgical form of treatment involves sucking out the sweat glands, with the aim of "normalising" the patient's perspiration.
We believe that this is currently the best surgical procedure for treating excessive sweating.
